The quest for the perfect sound

Creating music for a wedding is an art guided by detail. At Mav Duo, the process is as finely designed as the music itself, flowing in two seamless stages from creation to performance.

We limit our work to ten commissions per year, preserving the time and precision each one requires to uphold our high standards of quality.

I. Creative Stage

Every commission begins in listening. From this understanding, the repertoire is shaped and presented within the Soundboard, a written portrait revealing each piece, its place, and its meaning, before becoming the final Music Programme.

Each work is then recomposed for harp and cello, fitted to the day and committed to memory. Then comes a first unveiling: a recording sent to you before the day, revealing one defining moment exactly as it will be heard, with cues for its pacing and rehearsal.

II. Production Stage

Before the day, our team takes the burden of logistics off your shoulders, coordinating directly with your venue and planning teams on power, spatial placement, and timeline synchronisation. Pre-arrival mapping and soundchecks shape the projection to the acoustic conditions.

Our on-site event coordinator and sound engineer oversee every technical detail discreetly throughout the day. The week after, the Studio Archive is sent to you: two polished studio recordings preserving the soundtrack of your promise.

Every detail serves one purpose: to give the music its rightful place in the day, and permanence beyond it.
